The Pug is a small, stocky, square, thickset dog. The round head is massive with a short, blunt, square shaped muzzle. Originating from China or Tibet they were reportedly kept by Chinese Emperors and Tibetan Buddhist Monks. Introduced to Europe in the 16th Century they were known to have been bred by Queen Victoria in 19th Century England. They make perfect pets for
families as they are rarely aggressive.
